Our Farm Story

Hickory Chance is a family-owned farm in Bel Air, Maryland, raising high-quality Angus and Angus-cross cattle for premium, locally sourced beef. Our cattle are pasture-raised without added hormones or antibiotics and carefully dry-aged for superior flavor.

We use Angus-crossed animals — crossing breeds gives you the best of both worlds: better marbling, decreased chances of inbreeding, and a hybrid herd of Simmental and Limousine Angus crosses that the beef industry is moving toward.

No animal by-products have ever been fed in the last 100 years on this farm. All meat is Federally inspected and only healthy animals are processed.

All cuts of Hickory Chance Beef are dry-aged, vacuum-packed and quick frozen. All cuts are available for sale from our mobile unit, certified by Harford County MD Health Department.

Where can I buy Hickory Chance Beef?
You can order online through our website or visit us at the Bel Air Farmers Market. Our mobile unit is also available on Fridays from 9 AM to 5 PM at 2010 White House Rd, Bel Air, MD.

Absolutely. All Hickory Chance Beef is Federally inspected under USDA oversight. Only healthy animals are processed, and all cuts are vacuum-packed and quick-frozen to ensure safety and freshness.
What breeds of cattle do you raise?
We raise Angus-crossed animals — a hybrid herd of Simmental and Limousine Angus crosses. Crossbreeding gives better marbling, reduces the risk of inbreeding, and produces superior beef quality.
